Terrie Lynn Dehn, 64, of Sandoval, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was born on April 11, 1961, in Centralia, the daughter of Richard Melton and Jean (Berning) Ashlock. She married Glenn Dehn on June 2, 1991, in Sandova,l and he survives in Sandoval.
Along with her beloved husband of 34 years, Glenn, Terrie is survived by her children, Marty Melton of Sandoval, Jerry Skurat and wife Andrea of Sandoval, and Kashia (Nathan) McCormick of KS; ten precious grandchildren, Eric, Savannah, Megan, Kody, Kyler, Kyson, Aubree, Christalynn, Nathan, and Zayne; three cherished great-grandchildren, Silas, Skyler, and Grayson; sister, Donna (Darrell) Groff of Sandoval; uncle, Dewey Melton; and many extended family members and friends.
Terrie was preceded in death by her father, Richard Melton; mother, Jean Ashlock; brothers, Richard Melton, and Kelly Melton; and nephew, Les Erlinger.
Terrie was the heart and soul of her family, who were all so grateful for the bonds of love, good times, and friendship they shared. She was known for hosting huge get-togethers with ease, planning the best cookouts for Fourth of July, where all her family enjoyed good food, fun, and made lasting memories. Terrie loved being outdoors and the adventures she had while hunting and fishing. She especially looked forward to deer season and everyone knew she would come home with a deer every year. Terrie couldn’t have loved her fur babies, her dogs, Lucky and Ginger more. They were her constant companions and gave her unconditional love. Terrie’s love and support for her family were deeply appreciated and will never be forgotten.
A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia. Interment will follow at Pratt Cemetery in rural Patoka. Relatives and friends are welcome to the visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home in Centralia. Memorials may be made in Terrie’s honor in accordance with the Family’s Wishes.
