SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia has added an infant resuscitator to its emergency department.
The device designed to deliver controlled, consistent, and precise respiratory support for newborns and infants. Hospital officials say this technology will greatly enhance the health ministry’s ability to respond to pediatric respiratory emergencies, ensuring safer and more effective care for the hospital’s youngest patients.
Aimee Nix, Manager of Respiratory Therapy at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generous contribution, stating that the new equipment will be instrumental in providing safe and effective care for the hospital’s youngest patients.
In a gesture of appreciation, Nix presented the Auxiliary with a thank-you note, and a handcrafted wooden ink pen engraved with the message: “INK-credible,” celebrating the Auxiliary’s continued support and generosity.
The hospital reports the donation marks another meaningful step in the hospital’s commitment to excellence in patient care and highlights the collaborative spirit between hospital departments and the Auxiliary.
