A 25-year-old Salem man has been arrested for domestic battery following an altercation with a female at a home on Julia Drive on Tuesday night. Salem Police say Savon Wright of West Kell allegedly struck the woman several times and attempted to stab her with a nail file. The victim did not seek medical treatment. Wright was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on charges and a first appearance in court.
Three others were taken to the Marion County Jail on no bond warrants.
45-year-old Aleasha Stein of Tolle Road in Mt. Vernon turned herself in on a failure to appear felony warrant.
42-year-old Ortilio Morales of Evansville, Indiana was returned to Marion County via prisoner transport on an outstanding major traffic warrant.
44-year-old Michael Bartley of East Boone in Salem was arrested by Salem Police on an outstanding felony failure to appear warrant.
