Mt. Vernon Police have arrested two men following a report of gunshots fired Thursday night in the 700 block of Conger Street.
There were no injuries or property damage discovered.
After an investigation that led to a search warrant being served by the Mt. Vernon Police Department/Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office High Risk Team on Friday in the 1100 block of South 13th, two firearms were recovered, and two Mt. Vernon men were arrested.
49-year-old Eric Nabors was arrested for aggravated discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a repeat felony offender, and felon in possession of a firearm.
18-year-old Korinthian Davis was arrested for aggravated discharge of a firearm.
