A 35-year-old Odin man has been airlifted to a St. Louis Hospital for treatment of injuries after his motorcycle crashed into the rear of a pickup truck early Thursday night on West Main near Cross Creek Boulevard.
Salem Police say Zachary Horton of Queens Avenue had just made a right turn onto West Main when he sped up and crashed into the rear of the pickup truck driven by 21-year-old Gavin Kemp of Shuler Road in Salem.
Horton was initially taken to Salem Township Hospital before being transferred to St. Louis. Kemp was not hurt.
The Salem Fire Protection District was also called to the scene to assist.
The crash was reported at 5:20 Wednesday afternoon.
