Salem Police say both drivers were checked on the scene for injuries following a Thursday morning two vehicle crash at West Main and Maple Street.
Police say a vehicle driven by 78-year-old Melvin Minor of South Franklin in Salem pulled from Maple Street in front of a westbound vehicle on Main Street driven by 76-year-old Paulette Bray of North Hickory Street in Farina.
Salem Fire and United Medical Response also responded. The drivers signed refusals to go to the hospital. Both were able to get out of their vehicles on their own.
Minor was ticketed for failure to yield at an intersection.
The crash occurred at 9:34 Thursday morning.
