Centralia Police say they have now arrested five teens in connection with a robbery and mob action of a 16-year-old male juvenile as he was walking to a family member’s home.
Police reports indicate the incident occurred in the 1200 block of South Walnut Street on April 24th.
Police arrested 19-year-old Dakota Bender of Melrose Drive in Centralia on Sunday. Four juveniles were earlier arrested. They include two 15-year-old males, a 14-year-old male, and a 15-year-old female.
The victim told police he was approached by a group of juveniles and accused of stealing a cell phone and battery, before Bender allegedly grabbed him by the neck and dragged him to the ground where the others joined in the attack. The group allegedly stole the victim’s phone.
The victim did not require hospital treatment.
