Tickets are now on sale for the grandstand events at the Marion County Fair in Salem.
Tickets are available at the fair box office from nine to four Monday through Friday until Friday, July 25th. Tickets will then be available at the box office throughout fair week which runs Saturday, July 26th through August 2nd. You can also purchase tickets online at marioncountyagfair.com. There is a fee for purchasing tickets online.
Grandstand entertainment opens with the Motocross Competition at six Saturday night, July 26th. Murphy 500 with Cody Phillips opening is set for 7:30 Sunday night. The Marion County Fair Queen contest moves to Monday night this year with a seven pm start. The Junior Miss Marion County Fair moves to Tuesday night at seven. The Whippoorwill Rodeo entertains on Wednesday night at seven. The Southern Illinois Puller League Tractor Pull will be at 6:30 Thursday night. The Demolition Derby begins with the Power Wheels Derby at 6:30 Friday night. The fair continues on Saturday, August 2nd, with the ITPA Tractor Pull at 6:30 pm.
The carnival will be on the midway from six to ten each night of the fair. Arm bands will be $25 and individual tickets $3.00.
