The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting a COVID-19 related death in Fayette County. The death of the male in his 50s is the 55th death reported in Fayette County since the pandemic began. The death was one of 25 being reported statewide on Saturday. A male in his 90s died in St. Clair County. The other deaths were all in Central or Northern Illinois.
The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity rate has fallen to 3.5-percent.
Another 125,524 doses were administered statewide on Friday, bringing the total to more than 8.7-million.
A reminder that the Marion County Health Department is completing a first dose Moderna vaccine clinic at the Centralia Moose Lodge from nine to six on Sunday. You must sign up in advance online. The link to the signup is in the FYI section of WJBDradio.com. The goal is to complete 600 vaccinations on Sunday.
