Marion County Health Department Administrator Melissa Mallow says the Illinois National Guard is coming to Centralia on Sunday to put on a mass COVID-19 vaccination clinic.

She reports the clinic will be held at the Centralia Moose Family Center at 1824 South Poplar Street in Centralia. Moderna vaccine will be used. It is for anyone 18 years of age or older.  There is no cost.

The Moderna Vaccine requires two doses and a second dose clinic will be held in four weeks, also on a Sunday.

Mallow says the goal is to vaccinate 600 people at the clinic. The goal is to reach those who cannot attend a clinic during the week. Signup has to be done on line.
