A 58-year-old Maryville man was taken to Salem Township Hospital late Saturday afternoon for treatment of a medical condition following a one-vehicle crash on Route 37 north of the Bason Road north of Salem.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Edward Heath was traveling southbound on Route 37 when he developed a medical issue and ran off the road into the ditch.
Heath was able to get out of the vehicle on his own.
A passenger, Donna Heath of Maryville, was not injured.
The crash occurred at 4:50 Saturday afternoon.
