A 33-year-old rural Alma man has entered an Alford plea to a charge of felony criminal damage to property in connection with damage done in January 2020 to the Salem Little League complex on South College Street.
Dustin Groff of Alma Hatchery Road admitted prosecutors had enough evidence to convict him of driving through fencing and across baseball fields at the complex, but still denies guilt.
Groff was placed on one-year conditional discharge and given credit for 16 days served in jail.
As part of the plea, an unrelated criminal damage to property charge in connection with damage to a mailbox in May of last year was dropped.
