Donald “Moose” Lawrence May, Jr., 61, of Centralia, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
He was born in Dixon, Illinois, on Sunday, June 2, 1963, the son of Donald Lawrence May, Sr. and Thelma (Poole) Hixenbaugh. He married Mary Jo Schmidt, and they later divorced.
Moose is survived by his father, Donald May, Sr., of Morrison, Illinois; his sister, Dawn (May) Hock of Patoka; his two sons, Donald May, III, of St. Charles, Missouri, and Derek May, of Kirkwood, Missouri; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Hixenbaugh.
Moose was well-known in his community as the Owner-Operator of 3-D Exterminating. Through his work, he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of all who knew him for his diligence and kindness.
In accordance with Moose’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and there will be no public services at this time.
