Those with an expired driver’s license are getting more time to get that taken care of.
Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White’s spokesperson Beth Kaufman says they want to further reduce the spread of COVID-19 by not requiring people to rush in with their expired driver’s licenses or ID Cards right away.
“Expirations have been pushed back to August 1st, 2021. Previously, they were on June 1st, 2021. So that gives customers a chance to hold off going to the facilities and using online services if they can.”
