Salem Police have arrested a 26-year-old Salem man on a Georgia warrant charging two counts of sexual exploitation of children and obscene internet contact with a child.
Jack Weidner was taken into custody at his home in the Starlight Mobile Home Park at 7:50 Thursday morning after Coweta, Georgia Sheriff’s Department officials notified Salem Police a no bond warrant had been issued for his arrest.
Salem Police Detectives say they had been contacted by Georgia officials on December 19th for assistance in an investigation involving a 15-year-old male Georgia juvenile boy. Salem Police interviewed Weidner at their request.
Weidner faces no local charges in connection with the investigation.
