A 29-year-old Mascoutah man was arrested by Centralia Police after he allegedly fought with them after they were called to a report of a man running naked on South Poplar and the Huck’s Store parking lot.
Centralia Police Chief Greg Dodson says Tyler Duke allegedly fought with three officers as they tried to take him into custody after being able to stop him. The officers reported minor injuries, but did not require hospitalization.
Duke was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer, resisting arrest, and possession of over 30 grams of marijuana. The marijuana was allegedly found in his clothing that he had left in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Huck’s store.
Centralia Police received a report about the incident at 2:37 Thursday morning.
