The Centralia City Council Monday night will consider waiving bidding requirements to allow for improvements to be made to Calumet Street.
The council will be asked to approve a $70,250 proposal from Howell Paving to remove old asphalt and replace it from Poplar Street to the railroad right of way.
Howell has proposed a $53,935 cost to remove old asphalt and replace it from the railroad right of way to Hickory Street. The funds for both projects were set aside in the 2021 budget to be paid for with TIF funds.
The council will consider the sale of four properties owned by the city at 416 North Maple, 426 South Pine, 815 Arbor Lane, and 1834 Duck Lane where acceptable bids were received at the last meeting.
Discussion is also planned on in-person meetings and the City of Centralia Water Plant.
The meeting gets underway at six Monday night via Zoom call.
