Lana Snow, 82, passed away peacefully Friday, February 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at home.

She was born October 19, 1942, in Centralia, the daughter of Anthony “Tony” and Mildred “Midge” Zack. Lana married Rod Snow on June 4, 1961, at the First United Methodist Church in Centralia, they had a very happy and loving marriage for 63 years.

Rod and Lana were blessed with two loving and fantastic daughters–Stacey Owens and husband David of Ocala, FL, Shelley Dodson and husband Greg of Centralia. In addition, she was blessed with four of the greatest, most loving, considerate and thoughtful grandsons God could ever give any Mom-Mom. Ryan Owens and wife Ashley of Ocala, Florida, Dustin Owens and wife Cara also from Ocala, and Connor and Cooper Dodson both of Centralia. As if these four grandsons weren’t enough treasure, God also blessed Lana with five marvelous and loving, great-grandchildren: Addison and Parker Owens (Ryan’s), Grayson, Hudson, and Mila Owens (Dustin’s) all of Ocala. Lana‘s most loving fun and happiest times were spent with her family, especially her husband, her daughters, and their families. She adored all of them as she always said they made her life complete and worth living. She cherished the time she spent with all of her family and friends as they combined to give her life so much meaning and joy.

Lana taught school for four years, concluding with her and Jim Beasley starting the Title I Reading Program in Centralia. She left teaching, which she thoroughly enjoyed so that she and her husband could start Rod Snow Real Estate, which they enjoyed together for 35 years. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi for 59 years. Lana was the founding member of Ceneca. She was on the board of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and served three years as President. Lana served on the board of Centralia City Schools advisory council, taught Dale Carnegie courses in Centralia and Mount Vernon, and she was known by mom-mom by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many of her friends.
