Robert Francis “Bob” Kruep, age 74 of Carlyle, passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Mr. Kruep was born in Breese on March 11, 1950, the son of Francis B. and Alice (Haukap) Kruep. Bone graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1968 and proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he worked for HMG Engineers as a construction inspector and engineering technician. Bone enjoyed simple pleasures of life, such as fishing for crappie at Carlyle Lake, an early morning duck hunt, and tending to his yard. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle.
Mr. Kruep is survived by his daughter, Tricia N. Humphries (Michael); 3 grandchildren, Evan, Drew, and Madison Humphries; 2 brothers, John Kruep (Jackie) and Randy Kruep (Pat); 2 sisters, Patti Stark (Michael) and Kathi Kruep (special friend, Ronnie Walton); and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was welcomed into heaven by his parents, Francis and Alice Kruep; and a granddaughter, Avery Humphries.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Carlyle Knights of Columbus Hall on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 3:00 – 6:00 PM.
