The Marion County Soil and Water Conservation District has announced plans for the 80th Annual Meeting and Dinner. It will be held on February 20th at the Marion County Fairground Exhibit Building. The doors open at 5:30 pm. The catered meal will begin at 6:30 pm.
The catered meal includes fried chicken and ham along with twice-baked potato casserole, gourmet baby carrots, green beans, homemade noodles, seven-layer salad, and rolls. A variety of pies will be available for dessert.
Two District Directors will be elected during a brief business meeting after the meal. Selected area landowners and cooperators will be honored with conservation awards. The 2024 winning soil judging team, LUC 13 Envirothon team, and poster contest winners will be recognized. The evening will conclude with the presentation of door prizes.
Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased from the District office at 1550 East Main Street in Salem. Tickets can be reserved by calling Zach Lowery at (618) 548-2230 Extension three.
