Katharine Ann Mattmiller, 86, of Centralia, IL, received her Heavenly Reward on Monday, February 3rd, 2025.

Born on March 5th, 1938 in Hoffman, Illinois, Katharine filled her life with grace, love, and unwavering commitment to her family and faith. She was the daughter of Harold and Hulda (Steinkamp) Kroeger.

A devoted wife, Katharine shared 66 joyful years of marriage with Dwight Mattmiller, who remains to cherish their lifelong journey together. She was a nurturing mother to her children: Diane (Mark) Morgan, Dale (Diane) Mattmiller, and David (Sheila) Mattmiller. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren, Sarah Dalton, Tyler (Megan) Mattmiller, and Courtney (Trent) Timmons, as well as her precious great-grandchildren: Callen Mattmiller, Isabella Timmons, Sienna Mattmiller, and Landry Timmons.

Katharine was preceded in death by her parents, whose love and guidance paved the way for the remarkable woman she became.

Throughout her years, Katharine was enveloped in the warmth of her community, notably as a lifelong member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Centralia. Her participation in church activities, especially quilting, brought her great joy and comfort. Katharine’s love for tending her garden, watching the graceful dance of hummingbirds and butterflies, and caring for her family were testament to her nurturing spirit. Her life, adorned with kindness and devotion, leaves an indelible mark on those she touched. Katharine Ann Mattmiller’s memory will linger warmly in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.

Katharine’s Family invites all who knew her to join in celebrating her life on Thursday, February 6th, 2025, at noon at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia with by Rev. James Hennig officiating. Friends and family are welcome to visit and pay their respects on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Katharine will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia.
