Salem Police say both drivers were treated by emergency medical technicians on the scene of a crash at Boone and Broadway just before noon on Sunday.

Police report a car driven by Connie Chapman of Pinewood Place in Salem was traveling south bound on Broadway when she apparently ran a red light and struck the rear passenger side of an SUV driven by Amanda Hartley of Rotan Street in Salem.   The impact spun the Hartley vehicle around in the intersection.

The Salem Fire Protection District was called to the scene, but no extrication was necessary.

Both drivers declined hospital treatment.  Chapman was ticketed for disobeying a traffic control device.

The crash occurred at 11:27 Sunday morning.
