Harlis Atteberry Sr, 90, of Salem passed away at Salem Township Hospital on January 28th, 2025.

He was born December 15th, 1934, to Edgar and Ida (Michael) Atteberry. He would marry Linda Kay McLean on July 18th, 1957, and they would spend 53 wonderful years together.

Harlis is survived by his children: Myra (Dean) Milburn of Salem, Sharon Bierman of Centralia, Rhonda Atteberry (Greg Pocrnich) of Centralia, Terry (Lanee) Atteberry of Salem, Harlis Dwain Atteberry Jr. of Salem, Edgar “Eddie” Atteberry of Salem, and Ida (Adam) Bingham of St. James, Missouri; 18 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Linda; 4 brothers; 8 sisters; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Harlis was a mechanic by trade, who loved working on anything mechanical, like TVs and radios, with the mindset of “If it didn’t blow up, I can fix it.”. He enjoyed going to auctions. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

Cremation rites will be afforded, per family wishes. Burial will take place at a future date.
