Jeraldine Hope Folk Little, 93, of Kell, passed peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2025, in her home surrounded by her children.
Jeraldine was born June 24, 1931, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Herman Augusta Folk and Sadie Elizabeth (Bryan) Folk. She married Joe Little on August 6, 1949, and they were married 68 years until his death on November 17, 2017.
Jeraldine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her oldest son, Clifford Little in March 2024, her grandson: Kyle Little, eight siblings, and several in-laws.
Jeraldine and Joe had seven children: Brad Little and wife Barbara of Woodlawn, Donna Aaron of Kell, Valorie Heinzmann and husband Roger of Walnut Hill, Angie Wilkinson of Kell, James Little and wife Bobbie of Salem and Paula Reed of Kell; daughter-in-law: Pam Little of Humboldt, TN; twenty-six grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law: Carol Griffin of Kell, Deloris Little of Salem and Marilyn Smith of Carter; brother-in-law: Jesse Little of Champaign, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jeraldine was a school bus driver and then a janitor for 20 years for Kell Grade School. She adored the students, they respected and loved her too. She was of the Christian Faith. Jeraldine enjoyed sewing, quilting, croetching, and collecting Angels and Cardinals items. Jeraldine had a passion for watching game shows, Iron Side and you can’t forget her favorite show, Walker Texas Ranger. She liked scratching off a BINGO scratch-off ticket, even if she didn’t win. Jeraldine was a devoted wife, momma, granny, sister, and friend.
Per Jeraldine’s wishes, a Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Lance Boldt officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the Funeral Home.
