A 48-year-old Mt. Vernon man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to an armed violence charge in Jefferson County Court.
Michael Glenn also received a ten-year prison term on a Class X armed habitual criminal charge.
Glenn was arrested by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies when they responded to a report of violation of an order of protection at a home in the 21,000 block of North Tolle Lane in rural Texico in late December. Due to evidence recovered, Glenn was also arrested for possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of under five grams of meth, and armed violence.
Glenn will have to serve 50-percent of the armed violence conviction and 100 percent of the armed habitual time.
