Jerry L. Brown, age 80 of Odin, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, Illinois.
Jerry was born on March 26, 1944, in Salem, the son of Norman L. Brown and Bertha (Ritter) Brown. He married Wilma Jean Jourdan in 1965 and she survives in Odin.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, she is also survived by his son, Keith Brown, and wife Tina of Sandoval; daughter, Vicki Koehler and special friend Randy Tucker of Covington, TN; granddaughters, Nikki Ray and husband Kane of Millington, TN and Jesse Cannon and husband Keith of Covington, TN; a grandson, Levi Brown of Blooming, IN; two great-grandchildren, Jerra Lee and Jameson Cannon; one brother, Roy Brown and wife Sherry of Salem; a sister, Joyce Brown of Salem; sisters-in-law, June Brown and Lisa Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Alice Potter and Dixie Brown; two brothers, Gerry Brown and Gene Brown.
He worked for Squibb Tank Company in Salem for nearly 50 years. He was baptized at Barr Christian Church. He enjoyed farming, tractors, and riding around on his Kawasaki Mule visiting with his neighbors.
