Carlos Dean Woody, age 83 of Germantown, passed away at home on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
Mr. Woody was born in Buckhart, IL on November 27, 1941, a son of Russell and Thelma (Parks) Woody. He married Peggy Jeanine Hicks on August 8, 1988, in Paducah, Kentucky and she preceded him in death on August 2, 2022.
Carlos is survived by his children – Dana Moore of Johnston City, IL, Stacie See (Kevin) of Germantown, IL, and Matthew Lee of Hillman, MI; his grandchildren – Chelsa Moore (John Restivo), Amanda Woody, Devon See, Trent See, Denae See, and Shaelyn See; his great-grandchildren – Bella Restivo, Ayden Restivo, Dovie Restivo, and Cruz Hargrove II; his siblings – Darlos Bowers (Charles) and Vicky Sanders; his nephews – Dennis Bowers (Nicky), Gary Bowers (Mary), and Junior Sanders; and two nieces – Shirley Russell and Katie Caldwell.
Mr. Woody was preceded in death by his parents – Russell and Thelma Woody; his wife, Peggy Woody; his first wife, Dorice Darnell; two sons – Trevor Woody and Shawn Parks; a son-in-law – Johnny Bob Moore; and a grandson – Josh Watson.
Known for his dedication and hard work, Carlos spent many years as a miner and was a proud member of the United Mine Workers Association. Beyond his professional life, he enjoyed working on cars and was often tinkering in his garage. Mr. Woody also loved finding treasures and selling them at flea markets
