Alisha Joy Hess, age 46 of Iuka, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024, at SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital surrounded by her family.
Alisha was born on March 10, 1978, in Vandalia, the daughter of Dale and Deborah (McMillan) Boatman. She married Kasey Hess on June 15, 1996, at the Salem First Baptist Church and he survives in Iuka.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents, Dale and Deborah Boatman; two children, Rebecca Shelby Hess of Iuka, and Nicholas Brandon Hess of Cape Girardeau, MO; sister, Michelle Morgan and husband Ben of Iuka; and a nephew, Logan Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald McMillan, and Dale Boatman Sr. and Doris Boatman; and her mother-in-law, Ruth Ann Hess.
Alisha dedicated her life to being a mother. She was of the Christian Faith. Her hobbies included homesteading, raising chickens, gardening, and canning.
A Memorial Service is now scheduled for 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 11, 2025, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. A time to visit with family will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. The service is being postponed from Sunday, January 4th. Memorial donations can be made to the family and can be received at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem.
