Andrea Means, a beloved resident of Centralia, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the age of 78. Born in Centralia on Monday, October 28, 1946, the daughter of David Collinsworth and Wanda (Fetgatter) Collinsworth.

Andrea had a fulfilling career as a dispatcher for Union Pacific Railroad, where she worked with dedication and skill for many years. Outside of her professional life, Andrea was known for her love of shopping, she enjoyed doing yard work, and her admiration for Elvis Presley. She had a deep affection for animals and cherished the time spent with her family. Andrea will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her spirit and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Andrea is survived by her loving children, Rick Means, Brian Means, and Tia Tarlton, all residing in Centralia. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren: David Means, Andrea Patton, Kandra Means, and Brianna Tarlton, as well as her eight cherished great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her brother: David Collinsworth and wife Tammy of Centralia, her sister: Janet Fortag of Patoka, several nieces and nephews, and her two fur babies: Annie Mae and Lil one.

She was preceded in death by her parents: David and Wanda Collinsworth.

Andrea’s family plans to hold a Celebration of Life Service at a later date, honoring her memory and the impact she had on those around her. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
