Salem Township Hospital CEO James Timpe says the hospital has passed its three-year accreditation to continue serving Medicare and Medicaid patients. While there were a few small issues, Timpe says the surveyors were very complimentary with what they found.
“The surveyors told us that this was one of the cleanest facilities they’d ever been in,” Timpe said. “Then the big compliment was that they told us our staff was so friendly and that all the patients they talked to talked about what a real value the hospital is to the community. It was wonderful to hear.”
Timpe says there are three people who made up the survey team, one that looked at nursing, another focused on administration, and another with the physical plant. The survey lasts for three days, and the hospital is not given any notice of when the survey will take place.
