Centralia Police report two cars stolen in burglary at Monken Nissan

Centralia Police say police departments in the Metro-East and St. Louis are assisting in an effort to track down two demonstration vehicles stolen from Monken Nissan Dodge on West McCord Street.

Police were notified by an employee arriving at work at seven Monday morning that a glass window had been shattered to gain entry to the dealership.  Keys to the two Dodge Challengers that were stolen appear to be the only thing stolen from the building.

Police say the stolen vehicles were driven away westbound on Route 161.

Centralia Police are working with the Metro-East Auto Theft task force as well as police in St. Louis and St. Louis County in an attempt to locate the vehicles and hopefully find those responsible.
