Deena Turney, aged 70, of Opdyke, Illinois, entered eternal rest at 5:56 AM on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at her residence. She was born Saturday, August 28, 1954, in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Virgil York and Doris (Shelby) York.
Deena is survived by her Fiancé, Edward Higgison of Opdyke, Illinois; Two Sons, Carvus Turney of Christopher, Illinois, and Stephen Johnson of Princeton, Indiana; Two Grandchildren, Kenzie Rae Turney, and David Lee Turney; One brother, Rick and his wife Janie York of Eddyville, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
Deena was preceded in death by her parents Virgil Eugene York and Doris (Shelby) York.
Deena worked in transportation as a truck driver. She loved to enjoy the outdoors, especially camping. She was also a loving mother and grandmother.
No services will be held at this time per Deena’s request.
Deena will be forever remembered and missed by her friends and family.
