1. The first time a computer successfully ran a piece of software was June of 1948. A computer in England ran a program that was, basically, just a calculator.

2. When Nokia was founded in Finland in 1865, it made toilet paper and other paper products. They didn’t get into communications until 100 years later.

3. The name “Dorito” is a contraction of the Spanish word “doradito,” which roughly means “little fried and golden thing.”

4. Indiana has 10 of the 12 largest high school basketball gyms in the country. The ones that aren’t in Indiana are in Texas and Illinois.

5. The Chicago Bulls drafted Carl Lewis in 1984 with the 208th pick . . . which was 205 picks after they drafted Michael Jordan the same year. But Lewis decided to stick with track and field.
