Residents of the Patoka Community Unit School District 100 have approved a change to school board election rules allowing board members to be elected at large without restriction by area of residence within the district. This replaces the previous rule that not more than three members on the board of education would be selected from any one congressional township.
The unofficial total vote without any late-arriving mail-in ballots was 544 in favor and 257 against.
