Two people were injured in a rollover crash on the Walnut Hill Road at the Sleepy Hollow Road intersection southeast of Centralia late Friday night.
State Police say a preliminary investigation indicates a car driven by 33-year-old Curtis Moghadam of Centralia went off the right side of the road, overturned, struck a utility pole, and came to rest on power lines.
Moghadam was airlifted from the scene by medical helicopter to a regional hospital for treatment.
A passenger, 28-year-old Tyler Cooper of Kell, was transported to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both Moghadam and Cooper were out of the vehicle by the time emergency help arrived.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department, Centralia Fire Protection District, Marion County ESDA and Lifestar Ambulance all assisted on the scene.
The crash occurred at 10:24 Friday night.
