BJ Delcour, 87 years old, of Hoffman, Illinois, passed away at 5:48 PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at his home.
He was born October 26, 1937, at the Ely home in St. Clair, Missouri, the son of William E. Delcour and Sadie (Ely) Delcour. On September 1, 1956, BJ married his grade school sweetheart, E. Jane Tourville and she survives.
In addition to his wife of 68 years, Jane Delcour of Hoffman, BJ is also survived by one daughter: KD Potts, and one granddaughter: Stephanie Brooke (Potts) Emmite and husband Auston; one son: Johnny Joe Delcour and wife Christine and one grandson: Jake Delcour.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his three children: Debbie, Jeff, and Karla.
BJ was a retired yard master of the Burlington Northern Railroad for 35 years. He belonged to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in St. Clair, Missouri.
Funeral Services for BJ Delcour will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Russell Colonial Funeral Home, Friends may call at the Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, Missouri on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in St. Clair, Missouri.
