Salem Youth Soccer Weekend

Salem Select 2012-2013 earned two more SLYSA wins against UCC Navy and MASC 2012 bringing their regular season record to 7-0. Keep up the hustle ladies! Only one more weekend of games left to play.

The Salem 3/4 grade girls opened the weekend with a night game at Highland playing with a light up ball.  Salem came away with a 7-0 win.  Nia Garden had the hat trick.  Alexis Henseler had a goal along with Norah Lother, Hadley Michel and Lucy Scott.  Sadie Holzhausen had 2 assists with on each from Matti Hurd and Scott.

They turned around and played a different Highland team in Salem on Saturday and won 6-3.  Henseler and Michel each had 2 goals.  Holzhausen and Lother added on each.

The 3/4 Boys started the afternoon off with a 2-1 win, working hard against a traveling Breese team!
The 5/6 Girls also took a win against Highland with a dominant 8-0 performance. Laney Kuhns led the way with 2 goals and an assist. Brooklyn Anderson, Lexi DeForest, Briah Henseler, Brenna Lowry, Kennedy Knapp, and Stevie Nix each added a goal. Posie Cooney, DeForest, Henseler, Addilyn Markus, Nix, and Piper Stanford each contributed with assists.
The 5/6 Boys wrapped up the afternoon with a 1-1 tie against a tough Aviston team. Micah Rollinson scored the lone goal for Salem. Caleb Dice made multiple key saves throughout the game including taking on a penalty kick to keep the Bobcats from falling behind. Max Bookhout and Jayden Newcomb forced multiple turnovers at midfield.
