Mary Ann Trumbo, 75, of Salem IL. stepped over into Heaven on September 26, 2024, in Salem IL. Mary Ann was born in Salem IL. to Opal “Sweede” and Audrey (Weidner) Barclay on October 19, 1948. Mary Ann married Charles “Chuck” Trumbo in 1974 in Salem IL.
Mary Ann graduated from Salem High School. She worked in the Marion County Clerk’s office for many years. She was involved with the local election process and would take ballots to shut-ins and to nursing homes. Mary Ann was a sweetheart and known for gifting friends/family with goodies and thoughtful gifts. She has many friends and cousins who all love her dearly.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Charles “Chuck” Trumbo and her parents Opal “Sweede” and Audrey Barclay.
Mary Ann is survived by stepson: Shawn Christopher Trumbo and Wife Chi; grandchildren: Angelina and Aislinn Trumbo; and many cousins.
Cremation rites will be afforded, per family wishes. A celebration of life will be held in Mary Ann’s honor at the Iron Saddle Ranch, 3734 Cross Road Salem, Illinois 62881, at 1:00 pm Sunday, October 6th, 2024. Lunch will be available for purchase at the restaurant there. In honor of Mary Ann Trumbo, memorial donations may be made to any “no-kill” shelter of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home, 310 North Broadway/ P.O.
