William Murray, 91, of Centralia, passed away Tuesday, 24 September 2024.
He was born 9 September 1933, in Centralia, to Richard and Mildred Murray. He married Madeline Fender on 28 April 1956, and they were married for 63 years until her death on 9 February 2019.
He is survived by his three children, Cynthia Murray of Springfield Illinois, Kevin Murray and wife Lynn of Niceville Florida, and Elizabeth Murray of San Antonio Texas, eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Jim Murray and wife Sheila of San Antonio Texas, and Charlie Murray and wife Kay of Cresent Springs, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his wife Madeline, his parents, Richard and Mildred Murray, and a brother, Jerry Murray.
He was a US Air Force veteran and continued serving the veteran community for over 30 years through his service in the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion organizations.
A celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, 9 October 2024, at 12:30 pm at the Sutherland Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia with Military Rites at the grave. A Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at the funeral home.
