Jimmy D. Allison, 68, of Salem, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Crossroads Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
He was born November 30, 1955, in Marion, the son of Richard Allison and Virginia (Norris) Allison.
Jimmy is survived by his son: Jimmy D. Allison, Jr. of Centralia; four grandchildren: Chris Woods, JD Allison, Brandi Allison and Richard “Little Richie” Allison; one great-grandson: Marshall Woods; daughter-in-law: Becky Allison of Peoria; a brother: Mike Allison of Centralia; a sister: Linda Feldman of Centralia; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Richard Allison, two brothers: Charlie Allison and Richard “Spuds” Allison, and a brother-in-law: Mike Feldman.
Jimmy worked as an asphalt contractor for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors, drinking a cold Budweiser, and spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 20, 2024, at noon at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia. A visitation will be held Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
