Two Centralia residents were arrested on various charges and St. Clair County warrants when they were allegedly found in a stolen vehicle taken in Central City.

Centralia Police located the vehicle parked in the 200 block of South Poplar based on information received by Central City Police.

The driver, 52-year-old Joseph O’Neal of South Marion, was arrested by Central City Police for possession of a stolen vehicle, theft of property valued at more than $10,000 and theft along with an outstanding St. Clair County warrant.

The passenger, 33-year-old Tedrrius Guyton who said he was homeless, was arrested by Centralia Police for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a stolen firearm as well as on an outstanding St. Clair County warrant.

Police say neither resisted arrest.  Both were taken to the Marion County Jail to await court action.

The incident unfolded around one Thursday morning.
