The Salem Community Theatre celebrates Harry Potter’s Birthday on Saturday.
Kathy Garren has put together the program.
“This year we are entering Hogwarts for the fifth time. We are to the Order of Phoenix. Harry and his friends have grown up a little bit and the Dark Lord has made his presence well known and is gathering his army so Harry and his friends have to gather theirs.”
Garren says doors open at 5:30 with several activities leading up to the showing of the movie at 6:30.
“We will have different scenes set up from the movie. We will also have a face painter. Every ticket holder will get a Harry Potter drink and snack. They will get sorted into their respective houses. We also have honey dukes to get their other snacks. There will be lots of characters for them to meet and drink and take pictures with and all sorts of other stuff.”
Garren says there will also be a costume contest at 6:20 to pick the person best dressed as a Harry Potter character. The winner will receive a pool pass to the Salem Aquatic Center.
Admission to the event is $5.
