Salem Police have arrested 65-year-old Jerry Russell of Glenwood Acres in Salem for violation of an order of protection and criminal trespass to property. Police say they were initially alerted Russell was in Bryan Memorial Park where he had earlier been banned. They later learned he was within 500 feet of a person with an order of protection against him. Russell was gone by the time police arrived, but he was arrested a short time later in a traffic stop. He was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a final decision on charges.
26-year-old Bryan Scott of Decatur was arrested in Decatur on an outstanding Marion County misdemeanor warrant and transported back to the Marion County Jail.
47-year-old Kevin Kelso of East 200th Street in Patoka was arrested for alleged driving under the influence.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a Polaris Razor ATV from a home in the 400 block of East Fayette in Patoka. It is believed to have been taken around 1:40 Tuesday morning.
