The December Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Salem #1678 Teen of the Month is Salem High School student Kaitlyn Banning.
The senior is President of the National Honor Society, High Honor Roll, Global Seal of Biliteracy, and Peer Helpers. She participates in tennis, basketball and softball as well as FBLA, Academic Challenge, FCA and Spanish Honor Society. Banning also is active in her community as a Sunday School Leader and Royal Kids Camp Volunteer.
Her future plans are to study Biomedical Engineering and Spanish at the University of Missouri.
Kaitlyn is the daughter of Brian and Saundra Banning of Salem.
