The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced patching and resurfacing work on sections of Illinois Route 15 and 127 in Washington County. The work will begin this week and continue through mid-September.
Work on Route 15 is from Gardner Street in Nashville to U.S. 51 near Ashley. Work on Illinois 127 is from Masonic Drive to Conservation Drive.
Flaggers will maintain two-way traffic during working hours.
IDOT says motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during the closure. Drivers are urged to reduce speed, be alert for changing conditions, obey all construction signage and refrain from using mobile devices while approaching and traveling through the work zones.
