The city of Centralia issued building permits for 15 residential solar projects during June, more than half the total permits issued.

The total construction value is $752,376 on the 27 permits issued during the month.  The solar projects were $614,825 of the total amount.   The largest solar project was a roof array at a home on Lakewood Drive that totaled $104,455.  The next largest project was a roof array on Bel Air Drive for $74,407.  The smallest project was $15,768 at a home on Frazier Street.

No permits for new homes were issued in June, but one was issued to place a mobile home at 510 Parker.  The home is valued at $84,000.

No cost permits were issued to Mission Centralia to construct ramps at three homes to allow residents to stay in their homes.  They are in the 700 block of East Kell, 900 block of East Noleman and Devonia Drive.

One permit was issued to install a pool and fence at a home on Nancy Drive.  Four other permits were issued for fence projects.  A new carport was approved for a home in the 700 block of West Fourth.

Three demolition permits were issued.  They included homes at 932 Cormick and 160 Washington and a garage at 1422 South Locust.
