The Centralia Fire Department has labeled a fire that destroyed a small shed owned by Jackie Striker at 11 D’Ann Drive as suspicious in nature.
Firemen report the shed was engulfed in flames upon their arrival at 7:22 Sunday night. The shed and all the contents were a total loss, but firemen were able to keep it from spreading to two nearby mobile homes.
Firemen say there is no logical reason for the fire to have started in the building that had no electricity. The investigation is continuing.
The department was on the scene for about an hour.
