An 18-year-old Centralia man has been arrested by Centralia Police for child pornography and criminal sexual abuse.
Centralia Police Chief Greg Dodson says Garrick Hiltibital of Fairway Drive was arrested after the mother of a then 14-year-old girl came to police to report that Hiltibital had posted a video on his snap chat account showing a sex act between himself and her daughter.
The girl reportedly had run away from home so she wouldn’t have to face her mother if she found out about the incident. Another family member told the mother and gave her a link to the video which the mother then provided to the police.
Hiltibital was taken into custody at his home on Friday. He told police someone had hacked into his account and posted the video.
Dodson says the alleged victim has since returned home. Hiltibital was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a final decision by prosecutors on the filing of any charges.
