Centralia Fire Protection District Firefighters were able to confine a fire in the ceiling of a bedroom at a Central City home Friday afternoon.
Fire Chief Ross Boshera says they were initially called to the Sara Wright residence at 143 South Marion to a report of smoke coming from the roof of the residence. The fire was then located in the ceiling where it was confined.
Firemen were on the scene for one and a half hours beginning at 1:11 Friday afternoon. Centralia City Firemen provided mutual aid.
