Salem Police say they recovered both heroin and cocaine during a traffic stop on a car driven by a Kankakee woman.    Police initially stopped the car driven by Kimberly Miller on West Main Street because they knew from an earlier stop she had a suspended driver’s license.   She was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license.  Police say in addition to the drugs found on her person, there were scattered small pieces of cocaine in the car.   A search warrant will be sought on Monday to determine if there are any other drugs in the car.

A 43-year-old Centralia man has been arrested by Centralia Police for possession of a controlled substance and on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant.  Paul Wright of Hickory Ridge was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on formal charges.

State Police arrested an Indianapolis man on multiple charges including possession of a controlled substance and more than 100 grams of cannabis following a traffic stop.  Derrick House is also being held in the Marion County Jail for speeding, driving on a suspended license, illegal transportation of liquor by a driver, speeding and on an outstanding Cumberland County traffic warrant which has a bond of $3,500.
